St Paul’s magnificent and original Dining Hall is the beating heart of the College campus. Each day, our College community comes together to enjoy meals set under its intricate Gothic windows and original timbered ceiling.
At St Paul’s, even food and meals have a rhythm and purpose that provides a rich contribution to daily student life. Formal dinner, with a dress code requiring a jacket, tie and academic gown, is held from Monday to Thursday and for all major celebrations. This experience is unique to St Paul’s, providing a high point for the College community at these daily gatherings. All students are expected to attend (unless they have unavoidable commitments elsewhere, such as late lectures, work or sports training). This creates an environment where a formal three-course dinner served at the table is matched with distinctive College ceremonies, as well as community announcements and celebrated guest speakers.
Students are also catered for with breakfast and lunch on weekdays, and all weekend meals, in an informal, self-service environment.
