A Century of R. H. Tawney: Revisiting ‘Religion and the Rise of Capitalism’

September 4 @ 5:30 pm 8:15 pm

Religion and the Rise of Capitalism (1926) was one of the most influential history books of its time, written by one of the 20th century’s most important economic historians and Christian social thinkers. Join us for a fascinating panel discussion to mark the 100th anniversary of a publication that is now largely forgotten. Does it still have anything to say to us today?

The event will include addresses from Ed Loane, Jonathan Cornford and Tim Rogan followed by a Q&A chaired by Peter Docherty, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

This is a free event but booking is essential.
