Paul’s support for the Indian COVID disaster

Paul’s support for the Indian COVID disaster

As the World watches on, one of our international students, Nakul Reddy (2nd Year), has set to work campaigning to support the poorest people of his homeland who are suffering the depths of the devastating second wave of Coronavirus across India. Nakul came to Paul’s in Semester 1, 2020 and has not been able to return to his home in Bangalore because of the COVID situation there. Now in his 4th year of study for a Bachelor of Software Engineering he is giving what he can through UNICEF to support the Indian appeal which has been championed by Cricket Australia.

He get bad news daily, the number of Indian deaths is at 250,000 and is climbing. His parents and cousins are in isolation and every day he learns of people from his extended family, school friends and neighbours who are being infected and in some cases succumbing to the virus. Many of his friends and family are volunteering to help in over-stretched hospitals, going from house to house delivering meals and doing what they can to help people suffering. Nakul, in Sydney, wants to do everything he can to help and encourages his friends and the Pauline family to join him.

If you would like to join Nakul in giving to UNICEF, he has set up a College team to donate at: https://india.unicef.org.au/t/stpaulscollege
