in College 1911-13; son of James Lee Pulling (teacher at Shore) and Emily Pulling; at school at Shore; BA.
Second lieutenant, 13th Battalion, AIF (Mentioned in Despatches); killed in action, Gallipoli, 7 August 1915, aged 23.
From The Pauline, on his leaving College:
C.W.L. Pulling, Pauline Committee. Represented the College in shooting, rowing and athletics. The College bard has gone and the softening influence of his rhythmic thought is indeed a loss. As a member of the Pauline staff he did much to maintain the high standard of literature, always aimed at by that magazine (but seldom attained). His plucky run in the quarter mile at the last College Sports will not easily be forgotten.
