The College is an Anglican Foundation. Faith is expressed formally through the weekly service held in the College’s beautiful 1960s chapel. The Chapel has one of the finest modern baroque organs in Australia. The College is inclusive in its application procedures and welcomes members of all faith traditions. The wellbeing of the whole of the College and all its members is a microcosm of how religion can enliven a community in which people are at different stages of formal and informal commitment.
The Chaplain for the College is Revd Antony Weiss. Antony was ordained by the Archbishop of Sydney on 19 February 2018 and joined the College following over two decades as a boarding housemaster at Shore School. Antony was also formerly Head of Languages at the School, teaching predominately French and Latin.
Antony is also completing a Bachelor of Divinity at Moore Theological College and serves as a part-time curate at Christ Church St Laurence.
Most importantly, Antony is available to all members of the College community for pastoral care matters.
The Choir is made up of members from St Paul’s and The Women’s College and performs a traditional and modern repertoire to the highest standards. All enquiries should be made to the Director of Music, who is choirmaster.
The main College Service – a weekly Evensong with the Choir – is held at 7.45pm each Tuesday during Semester. Morning Prayer is held each Monday during semester at 8am.
Other significant Services include Orientation Week, Commencement, ANZAC Day, Academic Evensong, Valedictory Evensong and the annual Carol Service. Details of the 2018 Carol Service can be found here.
Parents and guests are always welcome.
