DESCRIPTION:The Seven StarsThe Choir of St Paul’s College\, University of Sydney \n\n\n\n“Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion\, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning.” Taking its name from the prophet Amos\, The Seven Stars explores the movement from lamentation to joy\, from darkness to light\, through some of the finest music in the choral repertoire. \n\n\n\nThe programme includes Gesualdo’s O vos omnes\, Drury’s By the waters of Babylon\, Pärt’s The Woman with the Alabaster Box\, Walton’s Jubilate\, and Jonathan Dove’s Seek Him that maketh the seven stars. \n\n\n\nThe programme also includes canticle settings by Alexander L’Estrange and Forshaw.
