Casey White

Mr Casey White is the Dean of Undergraduates. In conjunction with the Warden he Dean of Undergraduates leads the Undergraduate Community in all aspects of Pauline life.

Casey has extensive experience leading student life and collegiate communities having previously held the roles of Sub-Dean, Dean of Residents and Dean of Students within the Australian National University and the University of Sydney.

More recently Casey was the General Manager, Residential Life for UniLodge Australia & New Zealand working strategically on Residential Life and staff development for 60+ student residences and 22,000+ students in Universities across the two countries and previous to this role was the Residence Education & Intramural Programs Manager for the University of Sydney Accommodation Service.

Casey is originally from Tasmania and studied a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Opera Singing & Conducting at the Australian National University. He is currently completing a Master of Leadership in Service Innovation through the University of Queensland.

Casey has an extensive CV as both a music conductor and a theatre director. His vocal ensembles won the ABC Vocal Romp Best Australian Choir in 2013, and have toured South Africa as a part of the Ishlombe Choral Festival and the United States. He has been the Choir Master for Carols By Candlelight and an invited Conductor of the Burnie Concert & Wynyard Municipal Bands and was the founding Bandmaster of the UL Symphonic Band.

He has been the Director of numerous theatre productions including Beauty and the Beast, CATS and The Boy From Oz and the Musical Director/Conductor of numerous shows including Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Les Miserables, Chicago and 9 to 5 The Musical.

Outside of Collegiate life Casey has been a Board Director of the Canberra Philharmonic, a student learning and social space consultant to Cox Architecture,

a Council Member & Project Director for the Tasmanian Commissioner for Children and Young People’s Consultative Council having worked specifically on anti-bullying legislation in Tasmania and the Tasmanian Children and Young Person’s Charter of Rights, the ACT Universities Coordinator for RedFrogs Australia, and most recently advised the New Zealand Government on changes to Pastoral Care and Student Accommodation legislation.

Casey has been awarded a University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Indigenous Education, Founders Honours from the University of Sydney for Intramural Sport and Arts,  a Professionals in International Education PIEoneers Excellence Award, the Dick Atkinson Memorial Award for Contributions to Community Theatre and an Australia Day Award.

Casey is a Patron utrumne participatione of the ANU Musical Theatre Company, a Patron of the Walt Disney Ears for the Arts Foundation, a Status Master of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and has been donned a Cultural Ambassador for the City of Burnie, Tasmania.

Casey is a passionate supporter of the Gold Coast Suns and the Canberra Brumbies and enjoys donning a St Paul’s jersey at college Palladian and Rawson events.
