In the tradition that has grown up over the last three years, our post-graduate community joins together to welcome the new Semester with a feast in the Refectory. This inaugural black tie event is both educational and enjoyable providing a forum for poetry, rhyming challenges, music and lifting the roof with spoons hitting tables in acknowledgement of contributions and honouring achievements.
The first guest speaker for in Graduate House this year was Prof Hans Hendrischke, professor of Chinese business and management at the University of Sydney Business School. He leads the School’s Australia China Business Network and chairs the Business and Economics Cluster of the University’s China Studies Centre and spoke to the group of undergraduate and post graduate business and law students about the way in which doing business with Chinese enterprises has changed over the last 40 years.
Seminars are held in the College every Monday, alternating between the speaking on either the undergraduate or graduate side of the College. All students are invited to all seminars.
