A total of 67 new men have joined the College in 2011, another unusually large fresher intake, including seven new Senior Common Room members, and undergraduate freshmen from as far afield as Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne and Hobart.  O-Week began for Paul’s on Monday afternoon, 21 February, and, thanks to excellent organisation and leadership from this year’s Student Club Committee and O-Week committee, has been a tremendous if exhausting success. 

Intercollegiate events are crucial to the week.  The picture, taken by Lauren Haumesser, of St John’s College, shows the welcome to all college freshers, 600 in total, in the Dining Hall at St Andrew’s College, on the Wednesday morning, after which all assembled in the Great Hall, to be welcomed by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and other University dignitaries.
