Wider College Community

Membership of St Paul's College does not finish with residence but continues through a life-long association with our community. Not only do Paulines retain the friends they make during their residence but they automatically become members of a wide circle of support and social activity. |

Whether contact is maintained through the reunions organised by the College and the Union, through receiving regular College news via The Pauline and Boomalakka, or through giving to the Foundation, all Old Paulines are encouraged to retain a strong link to their alma mater.
New York and London Events
In July 2008 the Warden had the pleasure of meeting with alumni in New York and in London.

Thirteen Paulines enjoyed informal drinks, with ten staying for dinner at Bobbie Vans Steakhouse in Midtown. Almost everyone ate in typical NY steakhouse fashion - ie consumed a piece of protein the size of a rockmelon while drinking a glass or two of red. During his three week visit the Warden met with other Paulines and presented Ben Stretch with the 2007 Lehane Medal.

In London, twenty people met for drinks, canapés and an update on the College in the elegant surrounds of Goodenough College. In both settings, alumni considered that ongoing Pauline networks would continue to function effectively with occasional meetings. |

We also realise that College membership not only involves the men immediately in residence but also their friends and family, which is why we encourage a broad range of formal and informal links to the College. Guests are always welcome to dine in Hall with the men of the College, the Salisbury Bar welcomes the family and friends of College men, and the Students' Club organises a number of public social functions throughout the year. For parents, the Mother and Sons & Father and Sons Dinners are two highlights on the College calendar and mothers past and present are encouraged to become involved in the Women's Organisation. |
