College Life

In the final two weeks of Semester 2, 2009, the St Paul's College Mummers produced Euripides Medea with the College Chapel as the indicative setting for this classic story.

Medea is a woman wronged in the politics of love who then takes revenge on all. She murders the princess who has taken her place, and kills the king himself. She kills her own children.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" is part of the motif. The power of the empowered woman is the other.

The production was simple, elegant and professional. Mummers will be back in 2010.
